Unicorn. You betcha!

Pin It Now! I guess it's about time that I posted some sketches of unicorns on my "fantasy" art blog. I mean, they are right up there with dragons as the ultimate fantasy art subject matter, right? I will confess, I had a couple of cheesy unicorn posters in my room as a kid. Oh, and this blog is turning into a movie blog as well as art. Last week I mentioned Adventures in Babysitting.
Well, I can't mention unicorns without mentioning my all-time favorite animated movie from my childhood, The Last Unicorn. Such an awesome movie. It has a sweet soundtrack performed by the group "America" that I enjoy to this day. Wow, confessions!
Does anyone else out there remember Last Unicorn? There's also a really cool unicorn in the fun-tastic '80's movie Legend, starring a youngish Tom Cruise. Anybody out there seen it?
OK, that's all for now. I'll try to be more on time for next week's blog post:)

I'm concerned that we may be twins separated at birth. I can't believe you baited me into saying "I loved 'The Last Unicorn'" in a public forum. Curse you Cara!

These are healthy confessions, Sean. You are becoming a stronger person. Unicorns.. fairies.. embrace it!

I used to collect statues of unicorns when I was little. I think I still have a fetish for them.

Hi Cara! Always nice to see some unicorns. I'm teaching a "creature drawing" class for OC Art Studios. Your artwork might be useful to show the kids some examples of other artists who focus on fantasy art. Keep makin' art girl. It's gettin' better all the time! Stop by ASW (Art Supply Warehouse) sometime. I don't think I said hi last time but I noticed you came in. See ya 'round!

Thanks, Jasmine! Feel free to show the kids my artwork--that'd be cool. I'll see you at ASW:)

You posted this one! Love it! I impressed with the sense the the unicorn may vanish at any second.

Thanks, Laura! Unicorns almost did vanish once (yes, another "The Last Unicorn" movie reference)
:)
