Here's something a little different for me. This is a painting a did the other day to donate for a fundraising auction.
The scene is from a photo I snapped when I visited England in the summer of 2011. This shot was in Stratford-Upon-Avon, Shakespeare's hometown.
The painting is just 8 x 10" and done in acrylic. Tried to keep it loose and not "noodle around" with it too much, as my CSUF plein-air painting instructor, Cliff Cramp, used to say :)

I like the color, and the dreamy feeling.
I like the saturated color and dreamy feeling.
Nice! I love Cliff's work as well. He really cranks out the digi-paintings.
It makes me want to visit England, I think you got the pastoral feel and the peace of so much of their landscape.
It makes me want to visit England again. I think you captured the pastoral feel, the peace of so much of their landscapes.
Thanks, Jen, Sean & Jonalyn!
I have another one in the works, but it's a bit more complicated so it's taking me longer. Hopefully I'll be posting that as well.
